Shiraz Bheda, MS
Shiraz has 14 years of experience in statistical genetics and informatics as well as statistical analysis. He has utilized his experience in analyzing the underlying genetic architecture of schizophrenia and other neurological diseases via human-induced pluripotent stem cell research at the Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment at Mount Sinai. In addition, he set up bioinformatic pipelines that were utilized to perform rare variant analysis for chronic kidney disease at the Center for Precision Medicine & Genomics at Columbia University.
Prior to working in healthcare, Shiraz worked as a quantitative financial analyst at Caxton Associates, a global macro hedge fund with $8 billion in assets under management. Shiraz has a Master’s degree in Statistics and Statistical Analysis. .
